Herndon, VA - May 22, 1997 - Mitel Telecommunication Systems, Inc. (MTS) announced this week that they have entered into an agreement with Voice Systems Research, Inc. (VSR) to be MTS's primary vendor for PC-based voice processing, call routing, and messaging systems in the North American telephony market. MTS, a wholly owned subsidiary of Mitel Inc., will actively promote and distribute VSR products as a full-featured, PC-based computer telephony solution for the Mitel family of PBX switches.
With this alliance, VSR, a leading developer and manufacturer of innovative voice processing systems, confirms its reputation in the telecommunications industry for its seamless integration with Mitel PBX switches. COVoice, one of VSR's premier products, was recently lauded by Teleconnect magazine as, "the world's best Mitel-compatible voice mail" (May 1997, page 26).
